OUR MASCOT BENJI "THE RAM"
NOT YOUR AVERAGE GOAT
WHO IS BENJI?
Meet Benji, the adorable pet goat of Round Rock Soccer Clubs owners, Edgar and Janna. From the moment they took him in as a newborn, Benji quickly became a beloved member of their family. Raised with utmost care and affection, he thrived and developed a special bond with his human companions. Benji’s intelligence and playful nature allowed him to learn fascinating tricks like knocking on the door and responding to his name.
But as time went by, Benji’s adventurous spirit led him to yearn for a life beyond the confines of his human home. With the company of his goat friends, he found solace and happiness in the ranch life. Now, he not only calls the ranch his home but also holds the esteemed position of leader among his fellow goats.
Let’s all applaud Benji for embracing his true self and finding his rightful place in the world!
WAY TO GO BENJI!
HOW DID WE CHOOSE OUR MASCOT, THE RAM?
Prior to the construction of the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex, our training sessions and camps took place on the same ranch fields where Benji resided. The players quickly grew fond of Benji, and as we approached the start of our inaugural UPSL season in 2018, we decided to hold a poll to select our club mascot. While many advocated for Benji, one person playfully suggested dressing him up as a Ram, claiming that it had a certain allure. As it turns out, they were absolutely right. After conducting an online poll to gather public input on potential mascots, it was clear that Rams were the overwhelming choice! And so, Benji the goat officially became our beloved club mascot, embodying the spirit and energy of a Ram.
